I used the pattern from http://www.missrosiesquiltco.com/Schnibbles.html called "Clover". It is a granny square with a chain between--all on point. Fun.

Her pattern calls for different sizes, though. I based my quilt on 2.5" squares in the granny square and used 1.5" squares for the sashing. I like those sizes better than the pattern called for because if I have leftovers, they fit better with my already growing piles of 1.5" and 2.5" leftover blocks/strips.
