I have been thinking of doing a jar quilt. I need to start collecting fabric. I love your quilt and your lizard.

Terrific bug jars!! Nice variety of critters, and sizes of jars. Great lizard too!

I love your quilt. I just completed a bug jar and a fish jar quilt for my twin grandsons. I still have to quilt it. I've been searching for something to add to both and you nailed it. Did you machine embroider the lizard? Please let me know if it is a design. I'd love to add it to my quilt. I'm also thinking of adding a cat to the fish jars. I'm hoping to have both one by the end of Jan for their 11th birthday.

Thank you everyone for the kind words, I really appreciate the encouragement.

Camille, I fussy cut the lizard from a piece of fabric I found somewhere in my travels, and I just machine appliqued it on.
The fabric had several different species of lizards all different sizes, I had several on the quilt to start with... but downsized it to just the one.

I had a wonderful Christmas. I didn't think I was going to get off work in time to travel with my son to visit my Daughter and her family, but it where there is a will there is a way. I did make it to visit with the family and was able to see my Grands open their quilts. They loved them!
I hope all of you were able to spend some time with family!

This is my Grand AJ, he loved his quilt! It melted my heart to see how thrilled he was with it.
