Praying that your friend has wonderful results. Your quilt is beautiful and you are very generous. She will love it because of your love for her. Last year I did the same thing with a quilt that I just didn't know who it was for as I was making it. We found out on Valentine's Day last year that our friend had pancreatic cancer (the drs. had been treating her for gall bladder problems for a while, and during surgery for the gall bladder removal, they found a tumor on her pancreas). The quilt happened to be in her favorite colors, and as I was just about finished quilting it at the time, I thought it would be great for her to take to chemo treatments. Unfortunately, she lost her battle with this aggressive pancreatic disease just before Thanksgiving, and her husband asked me if I minded if she was buried with that quilt as she loved it so much. I was very honored and touched.

What a beautiful thoughtful gift. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to offer more prayers on her behalf.

I did this for a friend with lung cancer--then the quilt was on display at her memorial service. Made me cry.
