    Butterflies "N" Oranges

Hello again. I posted a picture of the top in Jan. with a promise to show the finished product. Just finished it a little while ago and here it is. I am pleased with how this scrappy quilt turned out.

What a wonderfully summery quilt! I just love it! Where did you find that darling butterfly pattern? It's too, too cute! And I love how they're flying around that adorable flower! Kudos!

I don't really have a pattern for this quilt. A little of this and a little of that. I'm a "fly by the seat of your pants" girl.

The butterfly pattern is a tweak from a 1920 and 1930 pattern from McKim Studios and I saw it in a Leisure Arts book intitled "Big Book of Best-Loved Quilt Patterns", and the rest is just made up. Hope this helps.

I love the orange. You did a great job with a hard color to work with. It reminds me of Florida.

Thanks you! The butterflies and flowers were made from the left over scraps from a ministry called care caps connections (they make caps for women and children who have lost their hair) and I needed something to pull them together and not just focus on the butterflys. I had the orange material and it won!
