Default buttons for Christmas

It's early - or maybe never too early - but thought i'd share this use of buttons for a Christmas project. These came from the button box that belonged to my DH grandma Minnie. When our daughter remarried, her new husband needed a stocking (everyone has one i've made). He is a sentimental guy, so i thought he would appreciate having Minnie's buttons on his stocking.
So...for those of you with button collections...here's just one idea for using them.

Such pretty colors and great use of the buttons. I do have a button collection. Will have to use your idea.

I really like your stocking, but not the button wreath, Too Much for me. I guess I'm what you would call PLAIN...Thanks for sharing with us. I plan on using your idea of decorating the sock with ribbon, fabric & button.
