    Calendar Swap

I just finished this quilt from a swap I was in years ago. We made blocks to represent each month. I made the pumpkins.

    Your quilt is awesome!

I love this concept. I've wanted to do a quilt but doing it as a swap seems so much more efficient!

Is there a significance to the items for the months? Like I don't get the significance of the crab for August?? It's the only month that I don't get. Otherwise the thought is cute.

yeah, I am not sure of that one either. I think the person liked to go crabbing that month or something.

Ladies, Crabbing is a big thing if you live off the coast. Blue crab season runs from April to November. It's a huge past time if you live off the coast. A fun summer past time. Probably have cook outs and such. And, the crab looks so cute heading away from the water. It's a cute block signifying summer. I've seen teeny ones scuttling along the beach in Florida. (Nothing you'd eat. Too tiny.)

EAch of the quilters in your swap chose good symbols for the month. I especially like the image of the crab for August.
