Sorry, never did get to colors, My hip has flared up in a most unpleasant way, making me most unpleasant. I think I may just go with Navy and ?
I dont really want to use red, because then it becomes a Red white and Blue quilt, which is alright, but not what I want....

On top of it all, my 9 patch in flannel is for some reason becoming a nightmare, I hate flannel. and my iron does too!

So sorry for your issues. Sometimes it is best to just walk away for a bit. I did up a color scheme using Navy, Red with Grey in the white spots and black and grey for the diamonds.. Let me know if you me to post that one.

Good luck with your choices. Let me know when you are ready for the piecing and fabric purchases.

One suggestion: You might want to make a sample block of the wheel before you go all the way down this road. I think you might want to know ahead if you are going to like making the block.

I think a sample block is a great Idea. I saw some "prequilted" fabric, today in the store, in diamonds....almost bought it...

Mostly now I am getting a better handle on my nine patch.
