Yep, I avoid white because of the kids, and black because of the dogs (who leave white hair on everything).
And thanks, this quilt is very special, can't wait to finish it.

You could base your choice (if you are keeping it for yourself):
Do I want another quilt similar to my other classic quilts? Blue and white
Do I want something with a little more pop? yellow or green
Do I want something in between those 2 themes? red/blue/white
Any way you pick, you have a gorgeous quilt

Ok I love the red, but I am a primary color lover. You are going to get a different opinion from everyone so I am going to tell you what one of the girls told me when I was trying to decide on a pattern for my next quilt.
ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR FIRST CHOICE!
The blue and white is beautiful too and very classic in its design. So if that is your first choice then I would go with that.
