    it's done finally! I only got up at 4:30 am to start sewing :) the border is a Walmart stripe fabric I fussy cut and mitered the corners. I'm much more pleased with it than the holly fabric. Now it has the whimsical look I wanted. The alternating red stripes are because I goofed and sewed the wrong side out on the 2nd piece of red. I liked the effect so I went with it. The candy canes took about 3.5 hours total to paper piece.

    Very Cute Babeegirl! I think that looks like a tough paperpiecing pattern but you did fabulous!

    Babeegirl, this is amazing, and I LOVE how you turned a hiccup into a special effect....its surprising how nice some of the fabrics are on the wrong side....sometimes more effective :D
