    Carpenter's Wheel finished

All together, I am not happy with the color choices. The reason for this quilt was to use the floral fabric, which I did not use enough of, in this quilt. I am not happy with the bright yellow, mostly, the white border......... but it is done, not sure if when I will be able or want to quilt it. Maybe I need time to get used to it or it might go to UFO pile, or will auction it?

thank you again, to you all

I just might remove the white border someday

I think it is very pretty and I would for sure finish it up. Quilt it up and donate to a place that would appreciate it.
You could always do another using different colors.

I will help you solve your disappointment with your quilt. Just pack it up and send to me. I think it is great and see nothing wrong with colors I often feel the same way on a quilt I have spent a long time on and for some reason it looses it luster.

I think you could have put more floral in it. But it still is a very nice quilt. Don't like it? Donate it or sell it.

That is very pretty, the white makes it sparkle, I think once it's quilted you will love it. I can see some beautiful quilting in those large areas.

I don't see bright yellow; maybe the photo. The colors all seem to go together; don't be so hard on yourself - we all do it ! Happy Quilting !

Oh, I think it is beautiful! Put it up for two weeks and look at it again!! Maybe you have just spent too much time with it.

    Are you kidding me?

I love the colors and the few flowered prints with the bold solids. This is so dramatic and pleasant at the same time. It's wonderful!

You could always quilt the white border with color thread and thereby darken it a bit. I think it is pretty now though, yellow and all.

It looks good to me. If it were mine, I would use brightly colored (maybe variable?) thread to quilt on the white. Maybe leaves or vines.

I think it is wonderful. The white gives a great opportunity for show-off quilting.

I like the wheel/star it self and the print border, but like you i'm not crazy about the white border. I think once done it will be a very beautiful quilt. Looks like you did a great job at making it. If nothing else finish it up and have a gift ready for when you need one but can't get it done in time. I'd love receiving a pretty quilt like this, I'm sure others would too.

Lessons learned. But, I personally think you are being too hard on yourself. Your piecing is perfection, love the white, and, it is a completed top!!!! Go for it...get it quilted...maybe using varigated thread....This is when you really will know what it can be. You will have something to be proud of.
