As far as boaders I would do a light blue an the 2 light sides and as dark blue in th 2 dark sides

OK I have still been following this thread to see what you decide for the border. If it helps, and I hope my opinion does not hurt your feelings, I would not like your piano key idea for the border. There is just so much movement in this quilt that I think that type of border would stop all the movement.
I personally agree with the dark border and binding, this would allow the quilt top to continue to flow, kind of like the stars in the sky comment.
Whatever you decide please post your finished quilt I look forward to seeing it.

I ordered a few more blues , one or two of which I think will work great as borders....They should be in by the end of the week....I'm not real crazy about the piano keys idea myself the more I think about it. I'll update as soon as I have something new to share. :)

I can't wait to see your next update!
I was just showing this to my DH and he liked it a lot. I was saying how I would love to make this quilt it is such an easy pattern. Will have to continue to build my blues stash first.
