    Casserole carrier and table topper

Finished these 2 items in the last couple of days. The casserole carrier is from http://2littlehooligans.blogspot.com...-tutorial.html. Used 1" cotton webbing for handles instead of fabric. Two-inch sew-on velcro was hard to find so used 1" instead. I made it for a friend who is also married to a farmer. With spring planting starting, this will come in handy to bring hotdishes out to the field! The little table topper was a quick project for spring. Kind of nice to work on small things in between bigger quilts/projects.

I really like the chickens & eggs you used to make the casserole carrier, very appropriate. The Spring table topper is just perfect for a house on a farm.

Like your cover! Notice your pan. Had one like that until someone used the top for something, and now it is lost. Sure miss it. Looked for another one, but could not find one. Guess they don't make them anymore.

When you mentioned bringing hotdish out to the field, I KNEW you had to be from Minnesota! I grew up there, not on a farm, but oh, how many times didn't I see a farmer's wife bringing food in a pickup to her husband and boys during planting! ...and during harvest, too, I think. I like the fabric you chose for the casserole carrier!
