It seems as though more and more people are starting (or finishing!) Cathedral Window quilts these days - everyone a stunner - and this one is NO exception. GORGEOUS! My mom, who passed away just last Saturday loved them, and having left a ton of fabric behind, I think I'll make one of red "window frames" and purple windows - she founded the Eugene, OR Red Hat Society chapter years ago. Fitting tribute - thanks for the nudge!

I'm working on a CW and it is a huge undertaking for me also. Maybe next year it'll be finished. I hope mine turns out as outstanding as your's. You should feel proud of a job well done.

How wonderful that your finished this quilt. It is truly an heirloom. Those jewel tone colors make it look like a real cathedral window. At least 25 years ago I wanted to make some pillows for a friends birthday and new she would love this pattern. (I didn't quilt back then) I called my mother who taught me how to make these blocks over the phone. Wish I was still that sharp.
