Pretty as is, however, depending what your donation quilt is to be used for. Wall hanging vs lap quilt? This should decide it for you.

Basically, what I was wondering was what people usually do with the two triangles if they don't want to make more windows. I just ending up sewing them down. It's almost done.

I don't really see the "sticking up" places because of the black, but I'm inclined to say: just sew them down and bind it.

I would call it a lap quilt, sew down whatever is loose, and put a black binding on it. I love the way the black makes everything else shine.

I understand exactly what you are asking, because I have one unfinished for that very reason! I hope someone has a creative way to finish as the sides just don’t look right sewn closed and that’s why mine is a UFO.

That's just my opinion. I do like what you did, it's beautiful.
I really like how the black gives the look of a sashing to separate each 'block'. I vote for sewing them down, a lovely project and a donation--good for you.

Here is one solution:

here's another- (scroll down to find the red and white CW):

Actually, looking at Google images, it looks like most are just sewn down:

This link shows the "triangle" problem. (scroll down)

Lots of interesting ideas from the sites the one woman posted. I like the one where they used a fabric with a good sized star and centered it in the block and turned the bias edges back and stitched them. It would frame each block and get the joining seams finished. I would leave the outside edges black, turn them back and stitch down.

Leave it as in except for a narrow border. I like the solid black circles framing the blocks.
