I made one too a couple years ago. Its not perfect but its mine. It takes a while to do but very rewarding when you do all those little squares!!!

Very pretty. I'm getting ready to teach this to my Monday class.
I made one several years ago and I use it as a wall hanging, throw and sometimes as a table cloth.

What is the final size that you are going for? I'm guessing a queen? It is very beautiful.

Your quilt in the Avatar is beautiful, assuming it is the one you referred to above. Nice job.

Little Hud - Be sure and update us on your progress. Looks very pretty. Are you machine stitching like Eddie or doing the squares by hand?

I ordered two and a half bolts of the light blue fabric for the backing and spent a lot of time cutting out close to 900 little squares for the windows. I couldn't wait to start it. It's coming together nicely ( notice I didn't say perfectly because it's far from that ). Hope you enjoy the pic of my beginning. Some of the windows are just pinned but not finished.
what on earth made us want to make this quilt. I too am in the middle of one. It is suppose to be my nephews wedding quilt, it is looking like is going to be there 5th anniversary quilt. But they are so pretty. good job
LOL I made this very quilt for my daughter's high school graduation. I think she got it 3 years after graduation! That was 23 years ago and I have just started quilting again.
