Default Celtic Solstice

My Celtic Solstice is finished. It turned out pretty well, although I'm not in love with my borders. I should have been more creative than just using scrappy strips. Live and learn. I'll have a better plan next time.

This is the quilt that was involved in my tragic washer overload post. If you want to see the before and after of that horror story look here. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...ml#post6608675

I love that quilt I have it on my bucket list will have to look out at the site and see if they still have the instructions - am guessing I should download them before they disappear!

Quiltstringz, I believe the instructions vanish in May or June. Go download them now and you'll have them when you have time.

Saw your previous post about washing machine overload, sorry about that but you made it work. It is a completely beautiful quilt and the quilting is lovely. Your border is fine with me. With your next one you can let your creative juices flow and expand to your hearts desire. I think as quilters we are sometimes more critical of ourselves than necessary. Think of yourself more as an actor or preformer. You did your best, and leave it at that!!

Mine is really scrappy as well - just went off to the LAQ today. I think it would have been better a little less scrappy - but I like how yours turned out!! I also think I should have used all Batiks - but that is my prejudice and I am trying to use other fabrics. Great job!!
