    I usually use an empty laundry basket when I chain piece. And it IS alot easier to pull them back up to cut them from the end. Can't wait to see pictures.

    I've been putting together 3.5 inch squares I got from a generous board member here. Didn't count them at the start, but now I have them in four patches--681 four patches! You're right; it is relaxing. When I want to sew, but not to think too much, I pull them out.

    I think cutting is the hard part, but I love chain piecing when I'm in the mood for mindless sewing. Sounds like a great project to me. Can't wait to see what you do with all those HST. There are so many possibilities.
