Ouch, Jane... those were pretty ones, too. Were they Rowan?

I've never had a problem with Moda precuts. I have also bought some batiks that were fine...

And I think that cutting them down is more work than cutting them yourself in the first place.

I actually love them. I do find them to be irregular at times but generally they are fine. I bought a layer cake that was only 9.5 inches and had to change my pattern, no one offered a refund.

Not true, at least for the Layer Cake I just used.

I love precuts. I use charm packs and jelly rolls all the time

I have that same layer cake & several were small. I just worked with it & made a smaller block. Shouldn't have to do that but I didn't have time to send it back. You would think as much as you pay for quality fabric that the companies would have better quality control & cut the fabric the size it is suppose to be. This one was the worst though as far as size. Normally they aren't off that much but they all have been off in my experience.

They frustrate me too. I hate having to compensate for poorly cut pieces.

Oh dear, that is awful. I am beginning to not be a fan of charm packs either. Mine were a little bigger than the 5 inch square and I didn't realize it, and had to make an adjustment to my quilt top. I am learning and getting more practice rotary cutting my own size of whatever.

Ditto that! I can cut my own a lot cheaper. And a lot more accurately.

I bought that same fabric layer cake and most were almost 1/2" off on a side. Shop refused to respond to me, but Rowan (the manufacturer) was very responsive and immediately sent me a perfect replacement. I love precuts and use them almost exclusively.
