some of the Guild display Quilts from KC RegionalQuiltFest

there were 3 groups of quilts at the KC Regional Quilt Fest this past weekend. Each sponsoring guild had an assigned amount of space based on size of guild; the judged quilts; and 3 special collections( one was Lori Triplett's Poos collection of very old quilts and could not be photographed). Hopefully what I'm able to post now are some from the different guild displays.Name: P1040890.JPG

    KCRQF Guild Displays--take 4?!

I will post the judged and collection quilts once I get them downloaded--but this is the last group of pictures I got of the sponsoring Guild displays. I forgot to take pictures while we were hanging them, so then had to go the next day and take them when crowds where there

Seriously--the last posting of Guild Display Quilts from KCRQF

these last are the ones that I had to resize again to work but since so many are different wanted you to see them.Name: P1040963.JPG

hope you enjoyed these! It's always fun to see what others work on and what I noticed with our Guilds is that there are many that use applique and more and more modern quilts, but also several traditional ones too. These 5 posts are just about half of all the ones displayed in the KCRQF Guild Display.

I will post the judged quilts once I've got them on my computer. Hope to see you in 2019 at the KCRQF!

Thank you so much for posting all these!!! They are stunning works of art. Over 200 quilts? That must have been great! I couldn't go myself, even though I live only about four hours away, so I really appreciate you sharing them with us. I will try to go in 2019

I was at the KC quilt show and it is just great to see pictures of the quilts on display. There was so much to look at and see that it was hard to take it all in so the pictures help bring it back. Lots of unusual quilts. The bunnies really stuck in my mind and several of the modern quilts. It is amazing to see all the artistry that goes into a quilt. Lots of walking and thank goodness there were lots of chairs around to sit in. Lots of vendors and new gadgets to buy.

I really appreciate that some of the quilts are within the range of skill of an "average" quilter not only pieces created by the "super quilters". Gorgeous efforts all around and a nice variety. Thanks for the trip to the KC show...virtually.
