My son made this for me in his wood shop class this year.

He was looking for a project to make, and knowing that my big ironing board was kind of wobbly on top of my regular ironing board, I suggested making something a little more sturdy. I never thought it would be this beautiful and detailed.

I am thrilled with the sturdier ironing surface, as well as the new storage (if you didn't already notice, I have it almost filled already!).

That is a great ironing surface. He had a really good shop teacher too. I love the idea of having more storage for fabric. He is a keeper.

He did a wonderful job. I didn't realize that wood shop classes were available anymore. My DH's full time job is wood furniture repair and restoration. He loves it.
