Wow, nice job and so small!!! I am afraid 'understanding' PP eludes me.....

Like Patti, regular old copy paper run out of my printer. The instructor taught us to set our stitch at 1.5, though. The tiny stitches so thoroughly perforate the paper that it comes off easily. I use the back side of my seam ripper to get into those tiny corners that form where stitches cross each other.

I use regular printing paper (or whatever white I have on hand) but I make the stitchlength shorter and if it stil doesn't come off, I spritz the paper with a little water. (not soaking - just damp).

It also helps how you hold the paper when you rip. I try to hold the side of the paper that is being ripped just past the perforations and move my hand down the line.

Your pp looks great.

PP---another technique I'd like to try. First I need to finish my 'needs-to-be-done soon' projects. I have a lot of baby and wedding tops to quilt.

What a nice bookmark! Your pp looks awesome! Isn't it fun to be able to use little bits of fabric so accurately and have such a great result? Hmmm...did I mention, I read alot? :wink:

Barbara--I think your book mark is terrific and I was just wondering what when wrong with it when you sewed the back on and turned it that made you say what you did?

I love your bookmark. It's so bright and cheerful. That's the exact way I felt the first time I finished a PP project. I was so impressed with myself! LOL! You will love it. I made a quilt for my grandson a while back and paperpieced some of the blocks and machine embroidered the centers. It was so cute and I never did get a picture of it.

That turned out really cute. I'd love to try paper piecing. Everything comes out so perfect.
