    Default Child's T-Shirt Quilt...with a twist!

My sister asked me to make a quilt for her 6 yr old, using his t-shirts, shorts and pjs. I cut out the designs on the shirts and did a narrow satin stitch to attach to quilt front. Used strips from pjs and shorts to make the binding. When he got the quilt in the mail, there were fots of tears when he realized I had CUT UP his clothes!! Now he loves his new quilt. Even dragged out more bags of outgrown clothes and asked his Mom to send them to Aunt Patt so she could make him more quilts! If you want any more info, just ask.

Very refreshing! I like where the shark (from Nemo?) threatens to burst out of the quilt!

Clever idea. Your quilt is so cute. I'm glad those tears soon turned into sunshine!

That was a great idea - I'm so sorry that he got a shock when he realized where they came from - and so glad he recovered quickly! He sounds like a sweet boy who deserves that wonderful quilt.
