This is the church quilt that we worked on for almost a year. The big celebration was today with the bishop blessing the quilt. I am proud of it, but am very glad it is finally done!

Very Nice. Is the center block an actual representation of the church itself? You all did great work!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. The center block was fun to do. We had a sketch blown up and cut it into pieces for the pattern for the building. There really is not grass or trees but it made it look better when the architect submitted his prelimanary drawings years ago. The picture really doesn't do it justice because the quiltng stitches just set it off so nicely.

That is just lovely, Vicki! It's nice that everyone's name who worked on the quilt is included on the back. I hope somewhere it is dated as well. I am sure it will be much appreciated by members of your church.

Sorry....stupid me! Of course, the date it is indicated as it is an "anniversary" quilt!

What a wonderful contribution, to the glory of God. I am sure creating this work afforded you many ours of fellowship. I would like to see close up shots of some of the blocks to really appreciate all of the details. My eyes ain't what they use to be.
