Civil War Themed Quilt...quilted by Aubrey's Quilting Creations

I am finally done with this quilt for a customer. I really enoyed quilting on this quilt and spent close to 50 hours on this with just the quilting! I used almost 3000 yards of thread in this quilt. In the borders around the outside of this quilt I found a really neat old time inkwell pen online and used this as the inspiration for the design in the borders. In the blue strips within the quilt I went with a similar idea and from a spiral I have two feathers coming out of it and rotated directions with each of these units. Within in the blocks I drew several designs on paper before I settled on this design and felt it did the best job of highlighting all the pieces as well as not focusing on the few places where the pieces did not match up the best. There is alot of detail within these blocks but at the same time I think it fits this quilt perfectly. Thanks for looking

Wow, that border quilting is incredible. I can see why it took you 50 hours. Beautiful job.

Beautiful job by both quilter and piecer.

You did a very thoughtful quilting job and I am sure your client will be pleased. The CW ones do seem to take a long time. I spent well over 50 hours on the one I quilted for a client as well.

Your quilt is just so beautiful. Way beyond my skill level, looks very difficult, you are very talented. I love Civil War quilts and this is one of the prettiest I have seen! Thanks for sharing.

The top is beautiful (Civil War repro fabrics are my all-time fave!) & the quilting is beautiful -- it sets the piecing off to perfection! Thank you so much for posting this beauty!!!

This is sure beautiful...wow....I am going to buy the Civil War Quilt Pattern Book from Amazon.com hopefully next month...I have a really good friend that just finished her Civil War Quilt...she has to put the binding on it yet and get it quilted. I love this...the colors are just beautiful....I should say the material is beautiful. Congratulations on your finish. You do beautiful work.
