Thank you everyone for your super comments!! I thought by sharing this quilt idea with you it would give you some ideas like it did for grann of 6! So I challenge you the next traditional block that comes across a little dull to 'kick it up a notch' and add your own special touch! There are just unlimited possibilities so I challenge you to think outside the box!

This is a really fast way to make a quilt and it was boring to me without the center squares. Now that I got this far, I decided I'll make an additional 7 blocks to make it wider. Then I'll add a 6 inch border and hope it will cover my son's feet (over 6 ft tall)!! Hope you enjoy my kicked-up cobblestones quilt!! JFYI, I cut 5.5" squares and 2.5" strips for this one! Also, it's a good way to use up those really large florals! ;-)
Really Neat Quilt, Beautiful I love all the fabric!!!
    :D  :XD:
Thank you so much, Ms Shawn!! I showed in this quilt that you can mix florals with horses and it all works together! I did fussy cut the horses though so you didn't get too much horse -- and I did cut around the bananas in the tropical == haha! Yes, the large florals are so nice but don't work well with some patterns, but it does with this one! Thank you for the compliments! :-D :-D ;)

Well, today, since it is so rainy here and Sunday being a good play day I am playing with Geta's design. It may not get posted today, since I am running out of steam. I stitched it on my mother's old Singer that I just got running. Had a couple glitches because the old machines don't "ease" worth a hoot, something I forgot about. I am about ready to quilt it. I am not giving any more hints, but it is for my D-O-G (she doesn't know she is one, so don't tell her). Hence it is not perfect.

It's finished. When Geta sees it she will probably lobby to have me removed from the board. Look in new postings under "a little bit wonky."
