Comfort quilt for young man with PTSD

Finally finished this comfort quilt. I would not assume to make a red, white and blue quilt for someone with PTSD, however this is what he asked for, and I verified with his family. I am very pleased with how it came out. He requested the Big Red One also.
I went controlled scrappy with the red, white and blues; made the whole thing from stash except had to buy some more of the Army fabric I used in the stars.

I believe UFOs are like scraps, ferns and dust bunnies. Once you get two, they send spores out into the air and more just happen anywhere the spores meet.

put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Lovely quilt, here's hoping that it brings comfort and this young vet gets the support he needs in order to recover.

I think that someone with PTSD needs a visible sign of caring, This fills that bill.

Says you who have gifted me with so much; friendship and love, not to mention boxes of fabric to use in my quilts of comfort!

Thank you for completing this project. My son was in Afghanistan twice and came home with a severe case of PTSD. No fun for his family and expecially no fun for him. I've experienced his dropping to the ground in a heartbeat when he heard the sound of a jack hammer.

Wonderful quilt! My uncle was part of the Big Red One during Vietnam. I was ages 4-9 during his 4 different deployments to Vietnam, so I don't recall a whole lot. I do remember seeing him drop to the ground and cover his head any time a plane flew over.
