I'm going to try this. Do you just get a nice clean, splinter free, board at Home Depot? Or not? 8-)

Hubs is invested because he thinks once I'm tired of quilting, he gets the boards. Funny man ;-)

The batting was sandwiched in between and I used a herringbone basting stitch to baste the darn thing. It worked out wonderful and I'm thrilled with how it came out. I also made pillowcases to match rather than shams.
It's a great piece of work and you have a great sense of humor!!!

I have a quilt made for my grandson that I am planning to baste using the board. I , too, just can't crawl around on the floor like I used to, too many aches and pains by the time I am done basting to make it worthwhile. I thought about tying all the rest of the quilts I make but I enjoy hand quilting too much to do that. I'm glad to hear it worked well for you. Maybe I will get started on that next week.
