Thank you everyone and thanks for the encouragement on the scalloped border. I am going to attempt it. Made a little 18" square and tried it. It worked!!!! LOL Keep your fingers crossed and anything else you can cross that I don't mess up. BTW I did not quilt this it was done by a local LA quilter. She did an awesome job.

I think 5" scallops would be perfect, I know what you mean about not wanting to take too much off the quilt. Your quilt is wonderful, so soft and cuddly with your yummy pastels, wool batting and flannel backing. Do you get to keep this or is it for a gift?

You will have no problems using the Quilt in a Day scallop ruler. I used it and it came out perfect the first try. The ruler is pretty idiot proof.

You will have a beautiful quilt when you are finished.
