Love it! Roosters are kind of a favorite of mine! Used that chicken wire fabric, too and its very effective. Great work!

Yes, I've seen the Mekenna Ryan patterns, if fact the blue background and the wine background fabrics are from her line. Maybe even a few more too. I was thinking about getting her four rooster patterns and making a wall hanging. I'm so hooked on thread painting, gotta find something else to do. It is so much fun, not nearly as intimadating as doing free motion on big open spaces.

I have SO much to learn. What is thread painting? I've never heard of that before.

And, your quilt is just beautiful!!!

It's a wonderful quilt top! Sorry, no quilting ideas from me ... I'm seriously challenged when it comes to actual quilting.

Thread painting is just using alot of thread to enhance your picture. Instead of satin stitching or blanket stiching I tried to kinda add enough thread to make a feathery look. I did it with rayon thread that also adds alittle shine. I'm not sure that's a proper definition but that's how it was explained to me.

Wow, what a beautiful quilt top. Can't wait to see the final! I know you'll make something beautiful by the way you have done your work so far.
