Thanks everyone, I've started the embroidery on one block - I'm even doing a bit of silk ribbon, learning from a book so it's a bit sloooow! I'll post a pic of the first embellished block once it's done. :-D

Dakotamaid I will write one as soon as I can. I did a partial on my PDA but it doesn't have step by step pictures just an overview of the idea. I was answering K3n on how my crazy quilting I call Confusion is differant from crumb piecing. She said she couldn't see the sections so I wanted to clarify. I thought about a tute several weeks ago but as it is so similar to the crumb method I didn't know if people would be interested. But in my opinion it is differant in that I use sections of already sewn together pieces and I have used parts I cut off and added them back in later. Just sort of taking the crumb method a bit farther. As soon as I have a few mins I will set a tute up with step by step pics.
Here is my PDA page the instructions are at the bottom of the page

K3n, since you are using some silks, satin and velveet, you might like to add in some fabric from men's neck ties.
I made a Crazy Quilt using my cotton stash and men's neck ties. I thought it turned our great.
You get so many different textures from using them, and sometimes you can use the wrong side, and get a whole different look from the same tie.

Actually I did an article for the Crazy quilt online magazine a year or so ago so I have pics for most of it. I was just thinking I did part of it for the article and part of it on my PDA so I just need to pull the two together and add a few pics of the sections which I didn't do in the article. So not too much work. It was on my list of tutes I was going to do for Konstantin and I got too busy to do it so it was in my mind to do anyway. I have a Bear's Paw one in progress when I can get back to it and my Sunbonnet Sue version also is in progress one of these days! LOL
