    Crazy Elephant Finished

Here it is, for what it's worth. Finished. Not perfect but I did me best.

The edges are a bit wavy and in hind sight I should have put a plain border on it as well to stabilize the pieced border, that way I think any stretch would have been discreetly lost thus leaving a stable edge to bind. I decided to bring the backing forward to the front and paid the price. Oh well, live and learn.

I have started a "Radical" quilt for a chap who is surfing mad, and has holidays in Hawaii. It's a make it up as I go along. I have found the fabrics hard to use in any other way, I am doing some machine embroidered designs to enhance things a bit. It is a bit weird I suppose. Should I be showing it? I'm not sure. I'll wait and see.

I think your elephant quilt is perfect just the way it is. You are so creative! Thanks for sharing them.

I think you've done a wonderful job on them both. We don't see the imperfections - just the overall look of the quilts and they both look fine to me. I particularly enjoy the colours in the elephants - it's very bright and happy. You could still extend it out with the solid border if you wished but I don't think it's crying out for it at all.
    Love what you've done, Shiree

I love the Crazy Elephant quilt. Did you have a pattern to make the elephants? If so, where can I get it? I have a friend who is elephant crazy and I'd love to do something with these elephants.
