I think that is beautiful and the one wearing is is precious. I made a braided jacket of may colors for myself several years ago and still get complements on it. Love it nice and warm

Brenda---I LOVE the jacket. Your granddaughter is precious. How old is she?

AND I love this room in your house-and the neat stories that make it so special. The quilt ladder is fabulous. I want to just sit in the rocker by the fire and quilt!!!!!!

DGD is 8.......going on 16 (LOL). As for the fireplace -- it's no longer a working fireplace. When we remodeled the house, we sealed it, added some height to the house and built a screen porch around where the chimney was located. So the beautiful rock chimney is now the focal point of my porch; and the original old log mantel is on the outside. The story on the log mantel is that it was from a log cabin that dated back to the Civil War. You'll just have to come my way and see it sometime!

I'd like to actually make some type of "wooden quilt" to put on the porch.

She's got that perfect 'over the shoulder' model pose! What a sweetheart.

Great jacket too. It's only 2 1/2 months late? Wow, I've got some quilts that are late by a couple of years.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA
