I love the block. Reminds me of a log cabin style crazy block. You choice of color is great too. Keep going and post when you're done. :-)

I think you’re on a role...the more you do it, the more you may like it. I think your block looks great and it’s a great way to put some of your scraps to good use.

Once you get the hang of it (and it looks like you have), you may find you like the process. Not one of those exacting patterns. Just relax and sew pieces together.

Love your block. One of the things I like about crazy quilts is that no two blocks are the same. Strips can be fat or thin - just whatever you decide. You can have some three sided centers, some five, etc but I don't think you're supposed to have even number sides, for instance a square. Anything goes.

I like it! I've made a few blocks, first using a design for the embroidery machine, which just lets me stand by and do what the design says. That seemed too tame, so I did a couple of my own, just winging it and using decorative stitches over the seams. Got that out of my system and just put some binding on them and called them mug rugs. Mentioned that in case you want to quit without just stashing that cute block.

Thanks for comments. Yesterday was my birthday, so was gone all day long and couldn't sew; all I could think about was that "crazy" quilting. I think I must have got hooked, so can't wait to start again. All my stash that I am using is different size strips, so that's what I have. I'll have to try or think about other sizes, something more to learn.
