When I decided to make baby quilts for my impending grandchildren, my DH had the wonderful idea of using the crib sheet the mothers picked out in the quilt. I cut circles of the vehicles for the green/brown one. The white and yellow pinwheel quilt has part of the crib sheet in the center as well as the little animals cut out for circles. Both the quilts have the full crib sheet as the backing. The quilts match the room decor perfectly and are very unique.

Love the Pooh quilt. I've used crib sheets as backing. They are the right size, and lots can be found at garage sales.

Great idea! Here is another that i found out when my grandson Kodie was a preemie. It was a cold February when he was born and we got him home. We put him in a bassinet, instead of the regular sheets for the bassinet, we used flannel pillow cases for sheets. It kept him warm and cozy. No need to buy the costly sheets for the bed.
