lovely colors, pattern and quilting. what size blocks? Love the flowers on the plain blocks..... great job!

Jane, I'm thinking they were 8" blocks? Here's a link to the free pattern. It's by Moda, available through Hancocks of Paducah. It's a free download in bluescale... no colors shown, only darks and lights.

Thanks! I used a 5 oz polyester batting that I buy by the roll from Marshall's Dry Goods. It's about 1/2" thick and has to be compressed somewhat as you quilt it. I just lay my hands down flat on it, which is the position for FMQ anyway. With lots of quilting it looks like any other batting, but with less quilting it is fluffy. Lighter in weight than cotton or 80/20 batting, and soft and warm. I love this batting!
