    Default Crossed Kayaks

This is my latest finish. The block is called crossed kayaks and was my first time paper piecing. Originally I tried to make the block just using a template, but the points got cut off so I figured I had no choice but to PP. Since this is a pretty simple block it went just fine. I pulled the navy/yellow fabrics from my stash for a scrappy-ish look. It's a lap size approx 54 x 69. I quilted it with my walking foot using a wavy line. The blocks look good when they are sashed too, but I just couldn't find a fabric that I thought worked so I went without. Thanks for looking.

I really, really like that quilt. It looks like a planned scrappy (which is what I like). You did good by using your stash.
