Crumbs, scraps, strips and pieces
#1
This was SO MUCH FUN! I started it this spring, I got sidetracked from making a quilt backing one Sunday. I had 2 big shoeboxes full of scraps from 2 or 3 quilts I'd just recently made, so I jumped in and started making crumb blocks. I ended up with 42 8 inch blocks, each one was like a mini memory quilt because of the scraps from other projects. When I finally got around to quilting it I decided to treat each block as a mini quilt again. I had a ball quilting each block with it's own design, some with thread painting and words to describe it. I improv pieced the words in the borders, that was fun to do too. All in all this was one entertaining quilting project!
