What a pretty little first quilt from such an equally pretty young lady. She should be proud. Great job!

I second jcrow's remarks! Both the maker and the quilt are beautiful!

I'm so glad you are fortunate enough to have your daughter express an interest so young. My daughter wouldn't go near a sewing machine, although she didn't mine cutting out dress patterns for herself. She does appreciate the quilts I made her - she has the one and only quilt that was hand-quilted, and is thinking of passing it down to her niece, since she can't have children now. I hope she keeps interested. My Mom taught me to embroider when I was 6 and then I proceeded to aprons, skirts, and learned to make clothing in high school home ec. I still sew and I will probably be quilting as long as I'm able.

She did an amazing job on her first quilt! I love the fabric choices. Beautiful quilt for a beautiful young lady.

Thanks for posting. My 10 year old grandson wants me to teach him to sew and I thought he was to young. Now I see it is possible. Beautiful job on her quilt.

Both of you should be proud. She did a great job for a first, and has a lifetime ahead to improve on accuracy. Pretty little quilt too.
