Thread: As promised Pictures of my daughter making her first quilt!!

    As promised here are some pictures of Katie our 12 year old making her first quilt while visiting Dale and I in the apartment in Buffalo. We had lots of fun making the quilt top. She did most of the sewing herself with little help from me. She did a lot of cutting too and picked out the fabric herself.

    She loves to sew. The machine is a 185 e by Bernina

    Wow! She is amazing! I couldn't sew that straight when I was 20!!

    I wish my daughter shared my passion for quilting... I got it from my mom who got it from her mother! Maybe when she gets older and more settled it will happen!

    Well done Katie you are getting on great!!.....how lovely to be able to share your hobby with your daughter.....awww I really wanted a daughter but it wasn't to be :cry: but I got to great sons, but they don't like quilting!! :roll:

    Wow! Inspirational! I just set up a machine for my daughter and taught her her first lesson in sewing. I hope she makes a quilt like that one day!

    Excellent job Katie. Keep up the good work. I will get some of Brandon working on his next one so you can see a boy about your age working on a quilt too! I am so proud to see the younger generation working on hand crafted items.
