She did so well, and I'm so proud. Since it is small we turned it right side out to self bind it and later tonight she's going to tie it! It almost brought me to tears watching her!

What a cutie. I am waiting for my grandson to be old enough to use my machine. He's only 3 now, but he loves to sit on my lap when I sew. I hope that his father will see sewing as an appropriate activity for a boy.

What a sweet girl and quilt. Glad she is learning so early.

Thirty years from now you will laugh about the background, too.

You adapted the sewing table height very well with the ironing board. And the masking tape on the machine for 1/4" seams helps all beginner quilters.

She is going ot be an expert quilter by the time she is 10. Tell her to watch the fingers as mine got sewn last night. Grr and I'm in my 60's!!!!! Have a great day and yes, that toilet will be a good laugh years later. Huggies, Fay

I had to go back to see what it was!

I wish I'd had the patience when mine were small

I just bought a Pixie Plus (for $10 I might add) in hopes of my granddaughter wanting to learn. She is also 6, but lives 500 miles from me. :-(
I can't wait to show it to her on her next visit here, or my next visit there.
