She did a great job! I always wished my girls would want to sew or quilt. The middle one, now married with children, decided to take up quilting and sewing. She lives very far away so I don't have a buddy to sew with even now. She did send her first quilt to me at Christmas. When I get the camera away from the kids at home I will send a pic.
Cherish this time with her, too soon they are on to their own lives. I am so jealous! lol

I thought about that, but she will be in the school of music and will be carrying a very heavy load along with marching band, pep band, brass quartet, etc, etc.... We decided she'd do the majority of her quilting when she's home on breaks, but she would like to learn to do hand-piecing so she has little things to work on when she ever has down time. She also said she would like to learn to knit, but I've never learned so she's on her own on that one. :oops:

If you buy squared paper, and draw out the block pattern precisely, then just cut up accurately on all lines, it really is fun to do, I couldn't find paper big enough, so I drew it half scale, then doubled up the squares and re drew each section of block....does that make sense lol!!
