Such a clever idea to make the windows I spy. The family will have so much fun with this quilt. I have lots of old jeans, this would be a fun project.

This is funny- I just saw this pattern on Inventivequilts.com. I tried to do it but sewing my circles together didn't work very well. How did you put it together so they would lie straight? Did you make a template so each circle was sewn in the same place?
I really love this idea and would be almost indestructible. You did a great job on this quilt!

Of course the washing machine was a mess after I washed it. This quilt was fun to make.
What a great idea! If you don't mind sharing, how far away from the curved edges did you stitch them down, leaving room to snip?

Just saw Nancy do this pattern Saturday on Sewing With Nancy. The new catalog has the tool to make circles and a video on this pattern and more. Ordering it soon. I love the one you did it is so pretty and will be so much fun for your family. A great way to recycle old jeans.

Default Denim Quilt Faux Cathedral Windows information

Attached are the pictures of the templates I made in order to make this quilt. When I started sewing the circles together they came out wonky so I made a 4.5" square template and used that to trace the square in the denim circles. That was my stitching line and never a wonky circle again.. I used the cut out square as an I Spy template so I could see what will show through the cathedral window.

Hope this helps.

And also thank you for all the wonderful comments.
