my 5 year old grandson even came in and sat at table and made some hex designs.. he thought that was pretty cool to turn them and to change the look...

and a hip hip hooray for progress

I think DGS will be claiming this quilt!

Better still ..... take him to the store to pick his fabric out for his very own OBW quilt. When I did my course, one of the ladies did one with polar bears, seals, cardinals and lots of wintery type animals in it. It turned out beautiful ... andyour DGS would love it as it turned somewhat into an I Spy Quilt!!

Mine is a paleface compared to yours! ... I am quite happy with it, but it's just so not me as I'm not the fluffly, frou-frou, frilly type. Yours is my colours to a T!!!!!!!!!! The vibrant greens, yellows, oranges, purples. oooohh!

The best way to figure out placement .... get them all up there and don't worry too much about the where at first. Then start doing the shifting. I tried to not have straight rows of similarity of design and colour... somewhat have them show movement in the placement, by coming up in a swirl, rather than that straight line. I think you have a really good start with what you have already.

My husband would never touch a sewing machine. Too bad. I think he might like it if he tried it!
You are so lucky! Looks like he is hooked!
