What a beautiful diaper bag-your daughter is going to love having an original creation from her mom. But, other moms are going to be stopping her and wanting to know where they can get one too!

Did you design this yourself? I am just so super impressed with it!! Great job!!!

That would make a great summer purse too! How about a quilting bag?

You really did a beautiful job - the design, the execution and the happiness shining through! Maybe you ought to make a pattern!

I'm usually not into brights so I pulled up a color wheel on the internet and chose the fabrics to match the wheel. I'd love to take a class on color theory somewhere!

Great photo of use on the boat. I live in North Queensland Australia and my husband and i do a lot of sailing on our yacht. Great time to relax with some hand stitching

Nope no pattern :)the checkerboard squares I cut at 2 inches, the middle yellow piece is cut at 3 inches wide and the bottom stripes are the leftover 2 inch pieces strip sewn and cut at 4.5 inches. The purple that makes up the bottom of the bag is simply a strip cut at 3.5 inches. I made the whole thing first, the layered it with cotton batting and a muslin backing and did the quilting. Sew'd up the one side and across the bottom. I so far have pinned those triangle flaps on the inside to make the bottom square but haven't sewn it yet. Next will be the lining and the handles.
