    Default A different kind of log cabin

    This is a log cabin quilt (in progress) based on a design for a Navaho rug. While I don't think I'll ever make another log cabin quilt by hand, it seemed appropriate at the time, given the inspiration.

    Very pretty and nice color palette. This type of LC design is found in antique as well as contemporary quilts. It is commonly referred to as a Greek Key Log Cabin.

    A lot of quilts are fashioned out of rugs and floors of churches , cathedrals, and gov't buildings. Yours is gorgeous.
