Thanks for all of the replies. I ended up using a neutral thread to stitch in the ditch with light blue in the bobbin to match the backing. I had some problems with puckering in a few areas but overall it looks alright to me.

I still need to bind it and once I do I'll post the finished project : o )

I stitched in the ditch with a neutral thread and blue in the bobbin to match the back. I did have some problems with puckering in some areas, I think that I will do a better job basting the next project.

This is the first non-practice quilt I have made that will actually be used by a human and I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.

That quilt turned out so nice. You did a wonderful job! Puckering Schmuckering Excellent work! I just tried the disappearing 9 patch this past week and will have to do one someday-----5 or 6 projects from now LOL. LOVE your color choices.

That is beautiful!!! Excellent use of florals!! You did a fantastic job!! I absolutely LOVE the backing fabric. I have a whole bunch of that, I "accidentlly" over bought what was left of a bolt for a project awhile back hehehe :twisted:
