Disappointed in whole-cloth quilt...

I think putting it away for a few weeks might help you love it. :-)
If that does not work, I have two ideas for you:
1) get a fluffy washable yarn and sew it under some of the area (stems and leaves?) to make them pop out more. trapunto i think.

2) take a very light pastel fabric marker, and start enhancing the feather work. kind of a scary idea!
I think it looks great, and I am amazed by your patience!

You posted a wholecloth quilt earlier this summer. I was so in awe of your quilting. This one is also amazing. I so admire your work. Sometimes it is just like cooking, I never enjoy the Thanksgiving meal as much as I should because I am around the fragrance all day. I enjoy it when someone else does the cooking - because doing the cooking (or sewing) mutes our senses. I think that might be what happened to you. Enjoy your quilt and if you want to - surprise your daughter, the joy of her loving and enjoying it will spark happiness and satisfaction in you.
