Some of you know that my DMIL was suffering from Alzheimer's. She passed away quietly last Friday. DMIL was a quilter. She and I spent a lot of time discussing what heaven would be like and pondered the quilt shops that might await us. I wanted to share a few photos from her memorial service and I felt my friends here would understand....We shared some of her quilts at the service and her pastor wove his message around her life in quilts.

AW! Now the quilts will give you her hugs. And she is getting a head start with the shopping.

My husband is a retired minister, what a beautiful tribute to your DMIL. The quilts are beautiful....our lives are so much like a quilt. I have always said, when I get to heaven, got will look at the quilt of my life and show me how much simplier it would have been to put the pieces together the way He wanted me to, instead of the way I did and then having to rip and repair, rip and repair.....beautiful tribute to a beautiful life, so sorry for your lose....

How she is smiling at the thoughtfulness and love you all gave her in your tribute to her. My prayers are with you all; her quilts are her lasting message of love and I know being able to picture her whole in mind and body is a comfort to you. Blessings.

What a beauitful service and heritage she left for the family. Riches beyond her lifetime with memories for the whole family and generations to come. Take one day at a time...one hour at a time. May God bless all of you and comfort you in your loss.
