Default Quilt for DMIL finished :)

I made this for my dear mother in law, who has been so encouraging to me on my journey to learn to sew and quilt. Actually she is always supportive to me about anything and everything. She picked the fabrics out, and I decided to do pinwheels because I painted some pinwheels on one of my horse jumps and she remarked how much she liked them. I quilted it with a loopy line design - she wanted "fun, bright, cheerful" - on my domestic sewing machine. I started quilting it before I got my longarm, so I finished it on the DSM… and SO GLAD I got a long arm after doing this whole thing on the DSM.
Binding is still the most frustrating part for me.

Thanks The back is flannel, so it's nice and warm. My MIL is in her early 70s so I wanted it to be nice and snuggly for her when she is in the car, or on the couch. They travel a lot and she usually brings a pillow and blanket for herself in the passenger seat. FIL drives

Pinwheel designs are one of my favorite blocks. Your quilt is beautiful. Your mil should find it so comforting.

Great looking quilt! She'll be so happy with it. So nice to get encouragement and support from others who you know will also appreciate what you do for them

Very nice job. I am partial to pinwheels too. What kind of long arm did you get?
