GORGEOUS machine, and so special that it's your grandmother's! My grandma had one in her basement for years when I was a kid. Once I got married (32 years ago), I asked her if I could have it and she said she "gave it to Goodwill" :shock: Lucky you - your grandma kept hers! :-)

tHIS LOOKS JUST ABOUT LIKE THE ONE I HAVE AND MINE IS ABOUT 1924
The decals are identical..very pretty
I cleaned it with machine oil which is non abrasive and was around when there machines were made...the belts are abt $7 on e-bay..includes shipping.

You definitely have a treasure.......my treadle singer does not have the red on it just gold........but cabinet is in good shape and i ordered parts.....and a belt........just love it........you will treasure it.....

it looks like all it needs is a belt. you can generally get them at a shoemaker, hardware store, or sew and vac. they cut them to size, so measure carefully. they're so simple that it isn't likely that there's anything wrong with it.

ENJOY IT! and leave it for your children to use.

Another great thing for cleaning old machines is baby oil. I use it all the time on my featherweight it makes it look like new and is non abrasive, It also really cleans it.
